Afrikaans

Where is the Afrikaans language spoken?
Afrikaans is spoken primarily in South Africa and Namibia.
South Africa: It is one of the 11 official languages and is widely spoken, especially in the Western Cape, Northern Cape, Eastern Cape, Free State, and Gauteng.
Namibia: Although English is the official language, Afrikaans is still commonly spoken and understood as a lingua franca.
Other regions: There are also smaller Afrikaans-speaking communities in Botswana, Zimbabwe, and among emigrant communities in countries like the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the Netherlands (due to migration).
